Set on the Giza Plateau, just off the Cairo/Alexandria road, Pyramid Hills was launched in 2007. With less than 100 homes, the cosy compound sold all of its properties within its first three years. While its low number of official residents would seem normal in comparison to other developments in the area, Pyramid Hills itself cannot be compared to its neighbouring projects since its intelligent use of landscape, picturesque homes and abundant amenities invariably set it apart.
In an ideal location, Pyramid Hills is near two main roads leading to the city, leaving the concrete jungle of downtown Cairo close enough to conveniently be reached, yet far enough to disconnect from the bustle. The neighbourhood itself is flourishing with several hotels and respected schools nearby, as well as countless food and shopping outlets. Set to open in 2015, the upcoming Grand Egyptian Museum, considered as one of the largest archaeological museums in the world, will be around the corner as well.
